curious emporium @ arts district.

so yesterday i wrote about how i visited the oklahoma city paseo arts district. well, i was so captivated by the place i had to take pictures. these are the results of my journey down 23rd street:

^ this is what the entrance looks like when you first enter craig's curious emporium. it is chockful of crazy & wacky items which would explain their high-dollar prices. another cool thing is that a lot of the art is locally made. SUPPORT LOCAL ARTISTS! :)

another interesting part of the store was that even though it was local, there were many different cultures represented inside. from african to egyptian and even wiccan (which is hard to find in a "conservative" state) was all there. i have to go back for the scented oils and tarot cards!

the colors of this shelf were AMAZING! i am a big fan of incense so this was like heaven to me. they had some strange scents like "unicorn tears" and "witches brew". selling point: 25 cents for each stick! yay.

when my aunt finally pulled me out of the emporium we made our way to one of at least 10 galleries. i can't remember the name, but we did stop and look inside the windows (it was closed) and saw some pretty interesting art.

here's the outside statues:

and inside were these cool paintings & statues:

i wish it had been open so i could have seen more, but now that i know this place exists i will definitely be coming back. they have really good food anyway. i'll start writing about other things tomorrow - still reeling after yesterday as you can tell.

-xx.
